Ooooaaaaarrrrr!

(Ok, my blogs aren't going in chronological order, sorry....)
After Bestival we headed for Cornwall for a very relaxing week. We were able to meet up with Tom, who flew in for an interview with iDJ magazine, a 3-man tour of Cornwall in a 2-seat Morgan, and to purchase a few hand-knitted i-pod covers from Ma and Pa Trelawney on the Knitting Seat in St Ives.

We had a lovely lunch at Porthminster Beach Cafe in St Ives, then sat on the beach.

I had a surfing lesson (!) and took Joe the following night to watch the surfers and give Niamh a well-deserved break.

Looking forward to seeing Tom, Alessandra and Eduardo in December.

Mmmm.. Joe wasn't too happy about the wind at Godrevy Point. Still, he's had his first trip to Corn'll, he'll soon be saying Oooaaaarrrrw with the rest of us!

Heeeeeeeeeeeeere's Daddy!

I have been a lousy blogger - as evidenced by my lack of blogging.... So....

I'm working away in glamourous Norwich at the moment. Even the Sale of the Century building isn't enough to stop me missing Niamh & Joe.

Last weekend we visited Jamie and Rose and met Jack for the first time for his Naming Day. We had a wonderful day, it was a real pleasure to meet Jack & Rose properly, and to be surrounded by babies for the day. Joe (pic, left) was able to fit into his dungarees and lumberjack shirt for the first time. Thanks Jon & Vicky!

I am of course trying to teach Joe the guitar (well, Ukelele in his case, if it's big enough for two-meter-Peter it's big enough for Joe). His current passion is, however, eating, so yes he eats the Uke. "Eat it!" we cry! Joe obliges.

We recently had a morning at Borough Market with Breda, Conor and Liz. Managed to bag about a month's worth of organic fruit and veg which Niamh has cooked, pureed, ice cubed & frozen for Joe's meals. The bottom drawer of our freezer is a smorgasbord of organic cubes :-)

Hey, this is fun. Hopefully I'll keep blogging!

No, no, no...

Can't believe how quickly time is flying. If I was only taking statutory maternity leave I would be back at work now and little Joe would be at nursery, gives me shivers just thinking about it!

Mind you, you'd think it was December when you look at the shops, not forgetting firework month which now starts in early October and goes on until the end of November. Oh the trials and tribulations of a suburban mum!

So what's new on Planet Joe? Paul and Sue came down last weekend, their bean is due to arrive at the start of February so it was nice to see them while they're still a double act.
Mr Mackie is now firmly encamped in Oz, hope Sydney is suiting you and that the prospect of working again isn't too shocking!
Gordon and Phyllis are due to arrive this weekend so we're hoping for a night out!
Joe has joined Tiny Teds at the local library which is a singing group for babies. All the babies seem to like it except Joe who bawled for the first five minutes when his Mum started singing! Not a good introduction to the Teddington Yummy Mummy circuit!

A few of my previous posts seem to have disappeared into t'interweb so apologies for that.
