Joe's weigh in

Joe was weighed by the health visitor yesterday and came in at a very respectable 9.79kg, in the 75th percentile. He'll have a full check up next month when they'll measure his head, height and judge his motor skills etc.

Today we went to a soft play cafe in Richmond where all the boys could roll around and have fun together. I think we'll pay it another visit next week with the girls too.
Joe and I are off to Amsterdam on the 12th to stay with Simon. We're renting a flat for the week in an area recommended by his Dutch colleagues. We're also going to Mum's in Ardara for the Walking Festival which falls on St Patrick's Day weekend. The village has a big parade which is always a lot of fun. Hopefully we'll catch up with Sam and Paul and get to meet wee Siun too.

Joe and Isabel

Here's Joe and his friend Isabel. He doesn't look very happy does he! Every time I took a photo he stopped laughing.

All change at No. 14

Well the architect came yesterday to measure up for his drawings for the extension and loft conversion. He expects the drawings to be finished and submitted to the council in the next two weeks. So the ball is finally rolling and we will probably be skint for years paying for it all! Hopefully it will be finished by the summer so that we can enjoy it. I'm off to buy biscuits and tea for the builders now - must keep them sweet!

Breaking news

After a whopping 43 hours in labour, Sam, Joe's godmother, delivered a baby girl, Siun Kathleen Marie today. As soon as I hear any other details I'll put them on here. Sam's sister Sarah is also expecting a girl at the end of February.

More beans....

Gill takes the honour of being the first one from my NCT group to get pregnant. Finn's little brother or sister is due to arrive in August.

Simon has found out who his next client is; ABN Amro in, wait for it, Amsterdam. For at least four months. Slightly more exciting than Norwich I think you'll all agree. Joe and I are looking forward to visiting out there. I am investigating industrial strength baby slings as I've been advised to leave the pushchair behind because of all the cobbles. Is this true? In order to butter me up in the meantime, Simon's taking me to The Glasshouse for dinner on Monday. Thank you Conor for your babysitting services.
