We're blogging again!
Apologies for the length of time between posts. We've been up to our eyes in it here. We also have no internet connection at home so will only be able to post sporadically.
Joe's christening went very well. Father Miranda was nice and quick and we had a relaxed picnic in Bushy Park by the cricket pitch. Thanks to all of you who came and for those of you who gave lovely presents too. Can't promise when you'll receive a thank you card at the moment!
Moved out to temporary flat the day after Joe's christening. Chaos as you can imagine, we're just about unpacked now! The walls are down at home and the place looks so different. We've been all over the place checking out folding glass doors, kitchens, flooring etc but the builders are confident they can be finished in time.
Just back from a wonderful week in the south of France. We stayed in a tiny hamlet called Saint Apolis, nearest large town is Sete. Joe discovered his complete love of the beach to the extent that he didn't sleep during the day in case he missed out on any time in the sea, digging/eating sand or parading the seashore making friends. The weather was lovely so we hung out at the beach most days and had a lovely, relaxing time. We swapped baby sitting duties with Mark and Vic on two nights but ate dinner together the other nights. Simon drank lots of lovely local Rose wine, which has now become his tipple of choice. We had such a nice time that we're gagging for another week away in the warm but whether that will happen, who knows.
Joe can now stand up from sitting so he's much more independent to the extent that he runs off at every opportunity. Luckily the flat is on one level!
